I think that if evolution was in the bible, academia would write Darwin off as a religious fanatic and avidly advocate for the teaching of creationism in schools. I might make a web comic about that.
Great thought about Darwin. I never thought of it that way, but you are probably right. Seems anything having to do with Biblical principles is deemed extremist and worthy of outspoken opposition and condemnation. Interesting perspective.
I don't remember the name of it, but my wife watched a documentary (I listened from the other room) in which several professionals ranging from biologists to archaeologists came forward and told about how they were essentially "kicked out of" academia for publishing papers that hinted at even the most remote possibility of intelligent design as the source of our existence.
